Real life and real stories of
unconditional love to fill your
heart and soul.

Hi! I’m Suzanne…

and this is Winnie, a pug-beagle mix. For ten years, Winnie has been my ride or die girl, my best bud, always by my side. We have been places and done things I hadn’t known I would do. There is no plan, and ever since this Puggle came into my life, she has been a major influence. It may seem odd to place so much importance on a dog, but it seems that what makes me happy is what makes Winnie happy, too. If not for Winnie, I wouldn’t be a published author.

Cheers to many more years of fun, and adventures.

Suzanne Catalano began writing fiction and non-fiction becoming a published author in 1999 with a contribution of short stories in an anthology, Along the Way: our unique relationship with horses.

Suzanne traveled across the country with her dog, Winnie, learning, practicing and competing in the K9 Performance Sport; Nose Work. From her experiences, Suzanne was inspired to write her first book, A Little Dog's Adventures in a Big Dog's World (AM-USA 2024), a memoire sharing the joys of her remarkably deep connection with her dog.

Suzanne's second book, Sun-Kissed Mountains of Home (2024), is a fiction cowboy romance novel about two people from opposite backgrounds in the equine industry who work through their differences by channeling the healing powers of equine energy.

Drawing from her own experiences as a young, single, working mother, Suzanne brings life to the characters in her newest novel, Sunset West: Love’s Last Refrain.

In retirement, Suzanne continues writing fiction romance novels featuring strong human and animal connections that bring out the personalities of the characters.

A native of Sonoma County, California where she lived her whole life, Suzanne recently moved to Tucson, Arizona.

SUN-KISSED MOUNTAINS OF HOME

When a cattle rancher and an equine therapy program director must work to get along, they find mutual understanding through horses. By channeling the spiritual realm of equine energy, will they find a deeper connection to each other?

IT’S TIME TO CURL UP WITH A GOOD BOOK…

Seeking connection is a fundamental aspect of human nature. Through her work as an author, Suzanne has discovered comfort and connection by engaging with others through the power of written language.

Suzanne writes books that let the readers escape for a while into a world where it’s safe to be human; with weakness and insecurities, arrogance, and vulnerability. A world where everyone is invited, welcomed and appreciated.
